I have a guy friend, he was in prison for 13 yrs for a sex crime against a minor. While he was in prison, he started writing to women in Malaysia. He had a friend who was already writting to a specific woman and one day he asked his friend if he could send her a christmas card. After that, the guy was getting out and hewas no longer going to write to her! She wrote to him for a little bit and he decided to test her. He sent her a money order from prison of 100.00 for her birthday. She wrote him back without sending the money back and said she couldn't accept money from a man she wasn't married too. He wrote her back and said no one would have to know. She quickly caught on and she kept gettin money from him for all the years he spent in prison. He got out and was released fro the D.O.C. He planned to come see her and all of a sudden her family found out about him on the internet, being a child molester! She told him to change his apperance if he still wanted to come see her. So, he did! She lead him on for all those years in prison about being his wife and how she loved him, she even has gone as far to threaten to kill herself, just to keep him in this! When he was in Malaysia he gave her an ingagement ring and they filed for a k1 visa. All of his family think she is using him for money! Nobody believes she is for real! Is his past going to prevent them from being approved for the k1 visa? I have been trying to research all the ways that make those visa's denied. She doesn't have the right frame of mind, he is in love with her, but, i think she is in love with his money! What do you think?

I'm surprised that someone that was convicted of a sex crime involving a minor was allowed to travel out of the country. Based on what I know, anytime a foreign woman accepts money from an American while still living in her home country, the outcome is not going to be favorable for the American.
