I do not like the heading "victim". I think we should think of something different. Rape victim groups call themselves "Rape Survivors" so maybe "Fraud Survivor" would be more appropriate. The image of a victim is someone that is crippled and unable to fight back. I am not in that category; I fought back; and I encourage anyone that is a victim of fraud, or any other crime, to think of themselves as a survivor or a fighter. No one can keep you down unless you let them. A man is not defeated when he loses, he is defeated when he quits.

Welcome to the board. Glad to see you here.

For several weeks our e-mail list of members batted around different names that we should go under. What you just wrote was voiced and many of us including me agreed to that to one degree or another. Finally it was agreed upon to use immigrationfraudvictims because it summed up what our cause was and not necessarily about ourselves. We have done some lobbying on Capital hill. One of our members sat in on a congressional meeting for immigration reform. She was able to present our issue to them. The issue of using false abuse charges to secure a green card. This interested them and they asked for additional information for a coming session in July. So we are stating in no uncertain terms that American citizens are being victimized by these laws and that they should as individuals be allowed to present their cases and evidence to the USCIS. Right now as you may know the USCIS is forbidden to talk to us or accept any evidence of our innocence or the guilt of the other party that we present. We are referred to as a "prohibited source". So in this way we are "unable to fight back" at the USCIS level. Our hope is to change this.

We believe strongly in fighting back. Nobody should roll over and let this happen to them. One of our goals is to get a list of lawyers and expert witnesses that know this issue and can assist those here that need their legal aid. We searching for a list of qualified and motivated criminal and defense lawyers that span the United States.

From your handle "goldcoastlawyer" are we safe to assume you are a lawyer? Could you tell us about yourself and your story about your ex?

Maxx
