It is four o’clock in the morning and my heart is racing and I can’t go back to sleep.
I still can’t believe there is a law in this country called VAWA that encourages false accusations. Women who want services such as housing, medical, psychological and immigration into this country can get all of it by making false accusations.
It has become more than just a law. It is an industry. The more the accusations, the more money they receive from the federal government – or from us, the tax payer.
I was helping this women whose ex-husband was beating on her for 17 years. After her divorce I offered her my house. She and her 3 sons lived in my house for three years. I helped her with so many things: house, car, driver’s license, doctors, surgeries, money.
She told me she wanted to be my wife. I agreed to marry her so she can be legal in this country. I was then that trouble started.
A few weeks after we got married she actually threatened me to put me in jail. I just didn’t believe her. I thought she was just under a lot of stress.
Then she started doing crazy things like waking to places instead of taking the car. Someone I didn’t know was picking her up every day and I have no idea what they were doing. On one occasion we were having a discussion with her brother-in-law about some future business and she got up an left on foot, I guess she already knew then what she was going to do.
She then went to the police and said I kicked her out of my house. Then she called the police again because she wanted my car. Then I had to call the police because she and her children stole my car keys. Then she called the police again because I wanted to talk to her – which is “emotional violence”. I just wanted to talk to her, to get an explanation, to understand what she wanted, but she was already executing her plan to make false accusations in order to receive VAWA immigration benefits.
Why is there a law in this country that hurts people who are helping other people?
Why is everybody helping her to hurt me and why is there nobody who wants to help me?
Why have I lost my entire life just because I was helping a domestic violence victim?
